About Recreation Ministry

As Americans, we love recreation whether its sports, crafts, or the outdoors. We might work hard, but we also like to play hard. Knowing this fact, why not use America's love for recreation as an opportunity to build relationships, genuine relationships, with members of the community. We typically feel strange going to talk to random strangers. Recreational activities, break the ice for us and forces us to get to know each other. And as these relationships grow, opportunities present themselves to share Christ's love story through each of us as Christ followers. That's what distinguishes Recreation Ministry from Recreation. In the end Recreation Ministry is about play...with a purpose. That purpose is to share the greatest love story known to man kind, that of Jesus Christ and grow long lasting friendships with our community.

  • Update on the Block @ the ROC

    We’ve picked a new date for the Block @ the ROC.  The block party will be on September 18, 2010.  Although we had to delay it a year do to some construction delays in our Recreation and Outreach Center, we are still so excited about the opportunity to host RBC’s first block party.  Gabe and Sara and their team are working tirelessly to plan this event.  If you are interested in joining their planning team or want to learn more about it please feel free to contact me joed@redlandbaptist.org.

    Hi all! While we have postponed The Block @ The ROC until next fall, we haven ‘t stopped working. In fact, the momentum is growing but we need your help! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Sara or Gabe Carbonell at Saraandgabe@gmail.com. We’ll use this blog to post all the latest and greatest news for our ROC event.
